James Scarver Obituary

Mr. James L. Scarver was born October 25, 1953 to the late Mrs. Annie Jean Roper and Mr. Earley Lee Shepherd.  He united with New Baptist Church at an early age where he served until his health failed.

    He was preceded in death by the love of his life Mattie Pearl Powell, twins sons Micky & Ricky Powell, and sister Sarah Jean Powell.

     He leaves to cherish his loving memories (2) sons Richard (Alicia) Powell, Kelvin (Diana) Scarver all of Greenville, Al., (4) daughters Jennifer (Jeremy) Robinson, Veronica Edwards, Krystal McClain and Regina Powell all of Greenville, Al. (2) step sons Robert (Nell) Powell, Fort Deposit, Al., and James (Portia) Powell of Greenville, Al., (7) sisters Daisy (Charles) Respress, Ruth (George) Dunham of Atlanta, GA, Gennie V. Williams of Montgomery, AL., Daisy Bell Lewis, Favorite sister, Bunia S. Maxwell, Annie (J. C.) Anderson, Debbie Miller all of Greenville, Al. (7) brothers Robert L. Shepherd, Willie E. Shepherd, Kelvin Scarver, Joe Roper, Johnny Roper and Robert (Christie) Scarver  all of Greenville, AL. Donnie (Zori) Shepherd of New Britain, CT, (43) grandchildren, (23) great grandchildren, 1 special niece Shawjuanta Powell, 1 favorite nephew, Arsenio Maxwell, (2) special cousins: Willie Ed Scarver and  Jessie James Scarver, special friend: Erick Franklin, and a host of Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
