Jessie (Atkins) Moultry

     Evangelist  Jessie Atkins Moultry was born march 7, 1959 to the late Gehoda & Lucinda Atkins in Butler County. She joined Springhill Baptist Church at an early age where she confessed her life to Christ. There she remained until adulthood when she rededicated her life to Him as head of the S.W.A.T ( Soul Winning Action Team) until God decided He needed her more on April 16, 2019. Jessie graduated from Jacksonville State University with an Associated Degree in Social Work before becoming ill. She lived a full life even after suffering from a stroke in 2006 by spreading the Word of God to everyone she came in contact with. She was a living testimony on her own.

     She is proceeded in death by three sisters Viola, Clara, and Betty Ann, two brothers Jehovah and Tommie Lee; one brother-in-law, James Albert Moultry.

     She leaved to cherish her memory a loving devoted husband Elder Morel Moultry; two loving and devoted daughters: Torrie (Luther) Davis and LaTisha Gulley (all of Montgomery, AL). Four sons: Lantice (Rece) Moultry ( Conyers, GA), Keenan Moultry (Brundidge, AL), John Moultry (Chiply, FL), and Sgt. Joshua (Keyana) Moultry (Paris Island, SC). Eight granddaughters: Jazzlyn, Ivory, Chanita, LaMarriah, Jeh’siyah, Gabrielle, Kimberly, and Reilynn; Ten grandsons: Triston, Trey, Jaylen, Ziequavion, Zayvian, Jon’tavius, Antonio ”Man”, Landon, Keenan Jr, and Kaiden;  two God daughters: Denise Boggan and Yashanna (Nikki) Harris; two God granddaughters: Rakista Hale and De’Asha Boggan. As well as her four brothers Henry (Jackie) Atkins (Pensacola, FL), Lewis Atkins (Biloxi, MS), James (Evelyn) Atkins, Forest Home, AL and Vincent Shepphard, Cleveland, OH). One sister, Mattie Jewell (Joel) Harris; three brothers: Willie Fred (Elizabeth) Moultry, Josephus (Linda) Moultry and Ray (Ada Ruth) Moultry; One Sister-in-law: Annie L. Moultry; A very special mother figure Rosetta Scott (Montgomery, AL). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
