On July 6, 1948 Mr. Jasper McDaniel Sr. and Mrs. Dora McDaniel Sr. was blessed with their handsome baby boy and they name him Jasper McDaniel Jr. Later in his adult life he started traveling and decide to change his name to Joseph Ocean. Joe worked with several groups in and around Louisville, KY but his heart was always with these two group: The Fantastic Violinaires and Together Brothers for Life.
On November 29, 2018 the Lord called Joe name and said come home my child. Your work here on earth is done now it time to take your rest.
Joe leaves to cherish his precious memories his common law wife, Valara Rudolph and six children, four sons: Antonio McDaniel, Michael (Denise) McDaniel, Victus (Cornita) McDaniel, and Jovani Everette Sr, all of Louisville, KY, two daughters: Lauren (Gerald) Grady, Atlanta, GA and JoVala Ocean , Greenville, Al., 10 grandchildren: Meissan, Michael Maurice, Mickeal, Myia, Valencia, Victus, Jalyah, Janessa, and JoVan and 8 great grandchildren, mother-in-law: Mrs. Lucinda Rudolph, three sister-in-law: Gwendolyn Oakes, Calera, Al., Gloria (James) McCall, Letohatchee, AL., and Barbara Rudolph, Greenville, AL. three uncles/brothers –in-law Walter (Ruth) Rudolph , Cliff (Viola) Brown, Bridgeport, CT and Ernest Rudolph Greenville, AL, his brother : Fantastic Violinairs and Together. He helped raised two nieces and three nephews, Eriyonna and Shakireyonna Rudolph, Erik Rudolph Jr, Ardarius Rudolph and Eriyon Roper, God son: Erik (Marlene) Rudolph Sr., Terry Crenshaw, Brandon and Brain Smith, three God nephews: Tyron Ingram, Justic Palmer and Shonderick Hamilton, a host of other young ladies and young men that looked up to him and respected him as Uncle Joe and Coach Joe, neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
