Alvin Rhodes was born to the late Mr. Booker T. and the Late Mrs. Bonnell Rhodes on July 5th, 1959.
Alvin was a faithful and dedicated worker of Wal-Mart (Greenville, Al) for 30 years where he touched the lives of many people. He was a faithful member of Greenwood COGIC where he served as a deacon for many years. He later answered his calling to become a minister in the Gospel on April 7th, 2019.
Alvin transitioned from this life on May 30th, 2020. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Joel Crenshaw (Chicago, Illinois), and Booker T. Rhodes Jr. (Greenville, Al).
He leaves to cherish his memories with a loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Maxine H. Rhodes (Greenville, Al). He was a loving and devoted father to his children, A loving son Alex (Diana) Rhodes (Raeford, North Carolina); and a loving daughter Kentrica (Kevin) Johnson (Greenville, Al). His mother-in-law Annie Ollison (Greenville, Al). Five grandchildren, Rashid Rhodes, Theressa Rhodes, Tiana Combs (Raeford, North Carolina). Kevin Johnson Jr. and Sequoya Johnson (Greenville, Al). Two brothers Johnny (Earnestine) Rhodes and Michael (Essie) Rhodes all of Greenville, Alabama. Three sisters, Lola Mae (Sebbie) Lewis (Forest Home, Alabama), Mary (Debbie) Alexander (Anniston, AL) and Voncille (Phillips) Warren (Montgomery, Al). Four aunts, Bernice (Ben) Montgomery (Detroit, MI), Shirley (Authur) Prince, Faye Sanders (Forest Home, Al) and JaRuthie McConnico (Nashville, GA). Four Brother-In-Laws , Alvin (Kattie) Howard (Montgomery, Al), Marvin (Nancy) Howard (Greenville, Al), Slyvesta (Julia) Howard (Greenville, Al), and Anthony Ollison (Durham, North Carolina). Three Sister-In-Laws, Robin Howard, Cynthia Howard both of (Greenville, Al), and Ametta Ollison (Montgomery, Al). Three God-Children, Lateya Barqanier, Jakiah Barganier, and Brian Barganier all of (Greenville, Al).
