Annie Mae Brown McKee, age 75 was born July 23, 1948 in Greenville, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Gus and Katie Brown.
Born in Greenville, Alabama, Annie attended Greenville Training School. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoralship of the late Rev. R.F. McCreary.
Everyone who were blessed to know Annie Mae knew her love for dancing and how it was her healing. She LOVED her children but especially her grandbabies.
Ms. Annie fought breast cancer for thirteen years until she transitioned. She will forever be known as the beloved “Duke.”
She is proceeded in death by brothers; Willie James Brown, Richard Brown, and Elbert Lee Brown; sisters Gussie Mae Scott, Ora Lee Simmons, and one great grandchild.
Annie Mae leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Juan Carlos Perdue (Tan), Lawanna Albritton (Johnny), Marci Perdue and Erica Perdue; her sister, Mattie George Brown; sister-in-law, Carrie Perdue, and brother-in-law, George Simmons all of her precious grandchildren, great- grandchildren, two devoted daughters in love; Darlene Barnes (Jeff) and Beverly Smith and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews and other loving family members and friends.
