Minister Janice D. Robinson, 50, transitioned from life to everlasting life on May 8, 2024. She is affectionately known as “Gi Gi” and “Jan Jan.” She was born on January 14, 1974 to Rosie Powell and the late James Marsh. Later through a union of marriage, she was raised to an adult age by the late Roy Lee Powell, Sr. whom she affectionately called “Daddy.” Min. Robinson accepted Christ at an early age and became an ordained minister at New Beginning Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Harold Daniels, Sr.
Min. Janice attended Greenville High School and is a member of the Class of 1992. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and private sitter for many years of her work career. She is well-known in the community for her genuine love of people, beautiful spirit, and caring heart. Min. Janice loved to shop, travel, share the word of God with anyone she could and most of all she loved her family. Anyone who has ever come into contact with her or knows her personally, can attest to the positive impact and lasting impression she made on their life.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Calvin Powell and Darrin Yeldell, father-in-law, Bobbie Robinson. She leaves to cherish her devoted, loving husband of 30 years, Quincy Earl Robinson, Sr; her children Quintosha Robinson, Alexus Robinson, and Quincy Robinson, Jr all of Greenville AL, Jasmine Robinson of Montgomery, AL, Aleisha Graham of Greenville, AL, Quintavious Coleman of Hope Hull, AL; a bonus daughter Hydeia Marsh and bonus son Kentavis Oliver both of Greenville, AL. She leaves behind seven sisters Dorethea (Jesse) Marsh, Stephanie Johnson, Senia Powell all of Greenville, AL; LyShanda Smith, LyWanda Smith, JaMealia Marsh all of Rochester, NY; Jameshia Owens of Detroit, MI. six brothers Christopher (Cassandra) Williams, Roy Lee (LaConya) Powell, Aaron (Marlena) Powell all of Greenville, AL, Todd (Samone) Bruce of Rochester, NY. Richard Powell, Hartford, CT, and Darrell Durant, St. Petersburg, FL; devoted mother-in-love Annie Nell (Isaac Pettway) Searight a devoted sister-in-love Marie (Lovell) Gordon of Calhoun, AL. Min. Janice leaves to cherish her grandchildren Payshance Walton, Ava Smith, Raeleign Graham, Ivyanna Coleman and Arielle Howard. She also leaves behind a host of special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
