Joel Herbert

Joel Herbert was born in Butler County on December 31, 1951 to the Late Mary Herbert and the late  J. B. Moorer, Sr.

Joel had the privilege of being reared by two wonderful foster parents. Mr. & Mrs. Barney Williams.

He worked for the Butler County Road Department for 36 years until his health began to fail.

He departed this life on January 28, 2019 at L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Jimmie Lee (Willie) Griffin, Montgomery, AL; three brothers: Henry (Frances) Herbert, Greenville, AL; Curtis Moorer, Greenville, South Carolina; John Frazier (Dora) Harris, Luverne, AL; one sister: Lizzie Stallings, Greenville, AL; five grandchildren; one special nephew: Larry Brooks, one aunt: Annie Jean Hardy, Jamaica, NY; one uncle: Jesse Savage, his loving extended family: the McDonalds, Greenville, AL; a special friend: Chenese McDonald, Georgiana, AL; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
