Lillie Simpson Obituary


Lillie Pearl Simpson was born October 5, 1944 to the late Charlie Will & Georgia Mae Swing.
She  graduated from Greenville Training School in 1962. In 1969 she married Charles Simpson, and later moved to Pensacola, Florida.
Lille, had big dreams, and always wanted to be a business owner. Stepping out on faith she opened "Lillie's Sewing & Alterations".  A successful business serving Pensacola & surrounding areas for over 25 years.  After closing up business, she followed her heart and moved back to Greenville, Alabama. The passion for sewing never left, and she continued to sew for others part time.  She will always be known as the  best seamstress in town.
Lillie was a faithful member of Rock West Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Missionary President & Choir member until health begin to decline.
Although, Lillie never had any biological children, she was a mother figure to many.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents Charlie & Georgia Swing, as well as husband Charles Simpson,  and brother Johnny Swing.
To cherish her loving memories siblings: Willie Nell (Raymond) Little of Greenville, AL, Charlie Mack Swing of Fort Worth, TX, Juanita (Napoleon) Brown, Floyd Swing of Pensacola, FL, Deborah (Alex) Williams of Mobile, AL. God children: Jennifer Stewart, Tanisha Stewart, Willie Stewart. Devoted friend & classmate Virginia Lee. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
