Rev. Carl Wilson was born on April 15, 1969 in Greenville, Alabama to Ramon Smith and Marilyn Turner.
Carl grew up in the Methodist Hill Community and was a member of the Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church, and was later called into the ministry in 1989. He served as Associate Pastor at his church under the leadership of Rev. O.D. Cook and Rev. Anthony Baxter. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1987.
He later moved to Montgomery Alabama after working for the Butler County School System and them was employed by the Montgomery School System as a Custodian for a number of years. He later attended the Birmingham Theologian Seminary for Ministers.
He loved his church and worked faithfully and diligently. He was a member of the Harrison Street Church Male Chorus, Brotherhood Organization and a diehard AUBURN FAN. Carl always had a great Inspirational word of Advice for facebook viewers to up lift their day. He treated everyone he came in contact with a special love and respect.
He was preceded in death by: grandfather, Herman Simpson; grandmother, Annette Simpson; brothers, Martin Wilson, Corey Cook; aunts, Ida, Mae; uncle, John; nieces, Tiffany Thompson and Keimoriyah Abner.
He leaves to cherish his memories: mom, Mary Turner, dad, Ramon (Pat) Smith; four sisters, his twin, Carolyn (Wade) Simmons, Tykesha (Quintarace) Hayes, Shimekka Smith and Demeriyah Thigpen; uncles, Sharvin and Robert Simpson and Roger Simpson; aunt, Dorothy Wilson; sisters-in-law, Annie Wilson and Andrea Cook; nieces, Ebony Latoya, Jade, Jasmine, Zaria, Ashanti, Summer, Talexcianna, Quin’nireiyah and Nevaeh; nephews, Xzavier, Malik, Le’Darious, Jeffery, Qua’darrious, Ty’Jaylen and Khlil; goddaughter, Courtney Teague; friends, Vickie Brooks, Vivian Smith Demetruis Rudolph, Calvin Allen, Barry Grace Johnny Grace, Javaris McDade and Anita Hall a host of cousins and other friends.
