Mr. Lambert Jr. was the third child born to Lambert Sr. and Rena Bennett on July 5, 1954 in Butler County. He joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until his health began to fail.
He graduated from Greenville High School in 1972.
He married Sarah Lois Lewis on August 4, 1974 and to this union seven children was born. Lambert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family.
He was a hard working person and no job was to big or small. He worked at Construction Component for over thirty years until the company closed.
Lambert was a fun loving person who never met a stranger and he would tell you like it is.
One of his favorite things to do was cook, he was the Grill Master! His ribs was finger licking good and he also specialized in pineapple delight and sweet potato pie.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lambert Sr. and Rena Bennett, three sons, Vangie, Marcus and Phillip Bennett.
He departed this life Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Baptist South in Montgomery, AL.
He will be missed greatly and memories of him will be forever Cherished by a devoted wife, Sarah Lois Bennett; four daughters, Latisha Bennett, Huntsville, Alabama , LaTessa Bennett, Danaela Bennett and Jessica Bennett all of Greenville, Alabama; one granddaughter, Caleah Thompson Bennett, Florence, Alabama, 4 grandsons, Caleb Thompson Bennett, Florence, AL, Jamarcus, Marques and LaVonte Bennett, Greenville, Al., three sisters, Bonita Bennett and Jessie Bennett both of Greenville, Al,. Nadine Smith of Luverne, AL., two brothers, Christopher (Eloise) Bennett and Timothy (Cynthia) Bennett both of Greenville, AL,. Five aunts, Mattie Frost, Greenville, AL,. Jessie Turner, Julia McLemore and Carolyn Daniels all of Montgomery, AL., and Equilla Hightower, Fayetteville, NC, three uncles, Robert (Creloa) Bennett, Greenville, AL., Robert (Lena) Weaver, Daphne, AL., and William P. Daniels, Las Vegas, NV., A special niece, Ebony Thornton, an adopted daughter, Carlotte Bowie, a host of nieces, nephews, a host of special cousins and friends and other relatives and friend.
