Mrs. Dorothy Scott was born September 21, 1937 to the late Charlie Sr. and Icy Adams in Butler County, Alabama.
Dorothy was united in holy matrimony Harry Scott Sr. in 1953 and upon their union she joined Ridgeville Baptist Church.
Dorothy was a very faithful member, and very dedicated to the Ridgeville Choir.
Dorothy was employed at Boss Manufacturer for a number of years.
Dorothy favorite hobby was fishing.
Dorothy and her husband served as foster parents for several years, she was a mother to many.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Deacon Harry Scott Sr.; son, Larry Scott, twelve brothers and seven sisters.
Dorothy departed this life on Friday, October 15, 2021.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories eight beautiful children: Heloise Womack, Mobile, AL; Harry (Erika) Scott, Jr., Greenville, AL; Elizabeth (Donnie) Byrd, Pembroke, GA; Tony (Joy) Scott, Tuscaloosa, AL; Wanda (Calvin) Coleman, John (Lisa) Scott, Veronica (Tim) Henderson all of Greenville, AL; and Derrick Scott, Rancho Cucamonga, CA; two sisters: Mrs. Alice Upshaw and Mrs. Tissue Hamilton; one sister-in-law; devoted daughter-in-law, Shirley Hamilton; devoted cousin, Augustine Wilson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relative and friends.
