Mrs. Helen Womack Obituary

Ms. Helen Evelyn Womack was born September 15, 1932, to the union of the late John F. Cook, Sr. and Rebecca Rhodes Cook.  She is preceded in death by one son, John Edward Womack; three sisters, Dorothy Moorer, Geraldine Cook, Etta Mae Neal and, one brother, Baine Cook.  She is survived by one devoted and loving sister, Mattie P. Robinson, and one brother, John F. Cook, Jr.

She leaves to cherish eight dedicated children, five sons:  Joe C. Womack, Jr. (Cleveland, OH), Robert E. Womack (Wiggins, MS), Booker T. Womack (Cleveland, OH), Chester (Tawanna) Womack (Bristow, VA), and Terry (Simona) Womack (Atlanta, GA); three daughters, Helen Evelyn Merriweather (Mobile, AL), Myra Ann Womack (Mobile, AL), and Bertha (Henry) Crenshaw (Forest Hill, AL).  She is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren, many great-and great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

In addition, she always expressed loving gratitude for the following family and friends:  Rosemary Rudolph, Mary Earl Robinson, Henry Crenshaw, Ruth Stoutemire, Geneva Fails, Martha Savage, Shirley Huff, and Barbara Ann Bedgood.
