Theresa Simmons began her life’s journey on November 18, 1978 in Greenville, AL. She was the only girl born to the union of Earnest and Ora Brown Simmons. She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Lamar Simmons.
Theresa accepted Christ as her personal savior at a young age. She attended and graduated from Greenville High School. She married, Jonah Daniels, Jr., and moved to Dothan, AL. She and her children later moved and made Birmingham their home. While there she became a loyal and loving member of New Rising Star, affectionately known as “The Star”. Theresa met and became friends to many. She enjoyed working as a Certified Nurse Assistant, CNA. This was truly her passion, helping others.
Theresa enjoyed traveling, assisting with political campaigns, playing cards and bingo, and attending her children’s football, basketball, and volleyball games. Anything that involved her children made her so happy. Her children were her life. She also enjoyed serving the neighborhood through various church ministries.
She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Eugene Robinson, Dothan, AL, Jonah Daniels and Jordan Daniels, Birmingham, AL; daughters, Jah’Kyra Daniels and Jah’Lisa Daniels, Birmingham, AL; father, Earnest Simmons, Greenville, AL; brother, Coshard (Krystal) Simmons, College Station, TX; best friends, Sonya Taylor, Moody, AL; Ivena Oliver, Greenville, AL; and Willie Fair, Mobile, AL; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
