Robert James Reynolds was born February 28, 1946 in Greenville, Alabama to the late Love Reynolds Sr. and Jessie Lou Mack.
He transitioned from life to everlasting life at the age of 74, on Monday, May 18, 2020 at UAB Medical Center.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Simpson Chapel Church, he also attended Simpson Chapel School in Greenville, Alabama.
Leading up to his adult journey he moved to Queens, New York where he resided for the majority of his life. He met and married the late Georgia Mae Presley Reynolds.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers: J.C Reynold and James Reynolds; 1 sister: Jennie Smith; brother-in-law: Willie Stubbs and Sister-in-law: Betty Knight. 1 niece: Noriya Wilkerson and 1 nephew: Kerry Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory: 2 sons: Robert (Cathy) Reynolds Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; Ronald Presley of Greenville, AL; 2 daughters: Treena Williams of Liberty, NY; Mary Fountain of Luverne, AL. He also had the honor of raising 7 other children: Donnell (Joy) Wright, Dallas (Avis) Davis, Anthony (Gabrielle) Wright, Willie (Mac) Henson, Miesha (Quan) Turner and Vonda (Marc) Enoch. A host of grands and great grandchildren whom he loved and cherished dearly. 3 brothers: Willie J Knight of Liberty, NY; Love (Ella) Reynolds of Greenville, Alabama; 7 sisters: Annie Lois Jordan of Pasadena, CA, Ella (James) Stubbs of Queens, NY; Martha (James) Warren of Grand Rapids, MI; Jessie (George) Gooden of Muskegon, MI; Ethel Bell (Robert) Hawthorne of Grand Rapids, MI; Catherine Durant of Greenville, AL; Teresa (Neil) Reynolds of Greenville, AL; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends throughout the surrounding areas. Long time friends: Beulah Enoch of Rockville Centre, NY; Alphonso McCullum of NJ and a very special dear friend, The late Edna Louise Davis.
