Obituary

Ruthie Mae Peterson was born to the late Better Peterson and Sara Bell Hawkins.

Ruthie joined Oak Grove A.M.E. Zion Church  at an early age.

Ruthie was joined in Holy matrimony to the late Luis Fletcher Santiago.

Preceding her in death: god parents, Idell and Sinnie Peterson; son, Leroy Peterson; two grandchildren, Keoshia Marshall and Kenyardia  P. Marshall.

She departed this life at Luverne Rehabilitation Center in Luverne, Alabama on Monday,  November 21, 2022.

She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Shirley P. Marshall; grandsons, Steve Marshall and Patrick Peterson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Punchie Peterson, daughter-in-law, Mary Peterson; a devoted caring cousin, Merqua Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
