Sarah A. Ray (Cookie) was born April 21, 1962 in Butler County Alabama to the late Shelly and Elnora Ray.
At an early age she united with the Union Missionary Baptist Church.
She attended school in Butler County Alabama.
She met her common law husband, Mr. Willie Crenshaw and they was together for 42 years and to this union two children was born.
She is preceded in death by one son, Cedric J. Ray and two brothers, Charlie and Clarence Ray,
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her devoted and loving husband, Mr. Willie Crenshaw; three sons, Dewarren Ray (Lekeshia) of Greenville, AL; Surtaurus (LaKeshia) Crenshaw and Ledrick Crenshaw of Montgomery, AL; ten grandchildren, La’Derrious and Ayanna Ray (Ja’Cynthia) Spann, of Ft. Deposit, AL; Tray Crenshaw, Devin Crenshaw, Tristian Crenshaw, Braylen Crenshaw, Mia Crenshaw, Kiersten Crenshaw, McKinley Crenshaw and Summer Crenshaw; three sisters, Shirley Moorer, Annie Jean Webb and Florida Wison all of Greenville, Alabama; one brother, David Earl Ray of Cleveland, OH; two aunts, Mrs. Angeline Taylor and Mrs. Janie Frost both of Greenville, Alabama; two brothers-in-law Howard Crenshaw (Laurie) and Johnny Crenshaw both of Greenville, Alabama; sisters-in-law. Egola Elam and Marie Crenshaw of Augusta, Ga; a host of devoted loving nephews, nieces, cousins and a few close and loving friends: Mary Simons, Sue Powell and Annie Ruth Lee.
