Shirley Milner Jones were born to the late Willie George and Elizabeth (Brown) Milner on August 30, 1951.
She united with the Harrison Street Christian Church at an early age. She was a 1969 graduate of Southside High School.
She was the mother of two children on which preceded her in death Christopher (Chris) Jones.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson: LaChristian Johnson, Sister: Bessie Chapton and all of her mother and father siblings except three.
Shirley loved to cook, clean, nurse the sick, look out for the neighbor and take care of he grand Kids.
She departed peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center, Montgomery, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughtes, Ta'Meka and Tomasina Means; five grandchildren: Kristyana Jones, Christian Jones, Noah Ray, Anyah Cobb and Nadia Jones, two sisters: Earlene Milner and Beverly Howard, one brother: Eddie (Cassandra) Milner, one aunt: Ms. Leola Brown, 2 uncles: E. C. (Shirley) Brown and Ned (Norma) Milner, one nephew: Cory Chapton, a host of cousins and friends; one God brother: Rev. John (Gloira) McMeans, her special boys: Tony McClaney, Milton Crittenden, Neil Taylor and Anthony Crenshaw; special families: Hudson Funeral Service Staff, the family of the late Fred Taylor and her special girl, Katrina Parker Means.
