Willie Coleman Jr Obituary

Willie Calvin Coleman Jr. (known by most as “Lil Will”) was born on October 6, 1980 to the late Min. Willie Calvin Coleman Sr. and Marilyn  Marlow Coleman in Montgomery, AL.

He accepted Christ at an early age and attended various churches with his parents in the Braggs Hill community and surrounding areas.

He graduated high school from Covenant Academy in 1999.

Our dad enjoyed the outdoors. As a little boy, he ran with his best friend (his dad) and quickly picked up on all of his hobbies. That included working on cars, caring for his dogs and horses and the other farm animals, fishing and hunting. He took so much pride in doing what he loved and it was evident through our daily conversations with him.

He was a proud father and loved his family and those close to him. If you knew Lil Will, you knew who his children were as he would go around showing pictures of them just in case you didn’t already know them. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Lil Will departed this life on Friday, May 10, 2024. He was          preceded in death by his grandparents: Henry and Edna Mae Coleman, Fred and Rose Etta Marlow, Gene Marlow and Jimmie Gentry and uncles: Sandy Marlow and Jimmy Wayne Marlow.

He leaves to forever cherish his memories his (3)children: Ja’Maya Coleman of Huntsville, AL, Quindarrius Crenshaw & Brayden Coleman; (5) bonus children: Teko (LaDavid) McCoy, Ozell Carter, Erica Carter, McKia (LaQuincy) McCoy, & Alliya Carter; his loving mother: Marilyn Coleman; all of Greenville, AL; (2) sisters: Shalena Coleman of Montgomery, AL & Damia Coleman of Greenville, AL; (3) nephews: Garrius (Zhane) Coleman, Nicholas Powell & Lance Jones; granddog: Benji Ru Coleman; a grand mother: Dorothy Marlow; (10) uncles: Rev.
